At the core of our mission is a focus on improving the overall physical and mental wellbeing of communities within developing countries. Our vision is to help create community run wellness programs throughout the world targeting low resource communities.
Program Focus Areas
Increasing Physical Activity
The need to increase access to physical activity programs is vital for the wellness of a community. The benefits will help reduce chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and multiple mental health issues. We like to think outside the box when establishing community run workout classes to help promote and motivate individuals to be more active.
Breaking Barriers to Health and Wellness
Establishing community run, community focused wellness programs will have long term positive impacts on the overall well being of a community. The main goal is to create a healthier community by providing the necessary resources for members to be able to make positive lifestyle changes.
Bridging the Nutrition Gap
Nutrition education involves helping people gain the knowledge and skills they need to make good food choices needed for healthy living. Our programs will aim to educate adults and school age children on the importance of adhering to expert dietary guidelines by also taking into consideration cultural food beliefs and habits.
